The town of Megève
Megève is a small mountain town in Haute-Savoie in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Nicknamed the "Little Switzerland of the Alps", it is surrounded by the Beaufortain massif, the Aravis mountain range and the Giffre massif. The town's ski area was developed by a branch of the Rothschilds to compete with the Swiss resort of Saint-Moritz. Today, the resort has 162 ski runs.
